I built my career in newsrooms — from Phoenix and Las Vegas to Atlanta — learning how to report with accuracy, anchor with empathy, and connect with audiences in real time.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, where my media journey began in radio news inside the CNN Center before joining the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show. From there, my career took me across the country — from Atlanta to Las Vegas to Arizona and beyond — covering major stories, interviewing influential voices, and building meaningful connections in communities nationwide.
Today, I serve as the main evening anchor for CBS 5 & 3TV in Phoenix and host “Original with Yetta,” a weekly interview-style show featuring dynamic conversations with newsmakers, entertainers, and sports figures from across the country. I lead the editorial vision, guest selection, and creative direction for each episode, blending journalism, curiosity, and creative storytelling.
Those experiences shaped my ability to engage audiences from all walks of life while adapting to fast-paced environments both on camera and behind the scenes. Traveling for work and storytelling has given me a unique perspective on people, culture, communication, and the power of human connection.
Beyond my career, I’m also a mom to two daughters — a role that continues to shape the way I lead, communicate, and connect with people. Motherhood has given me an even deeper appreciation for authenticity, balance, resilience, and the importance of creating meaningful impact both personally and professionally.
Today, I’m expanding beyond the newsroom and bringing my experience in journalism, media, and communication into storytelling, brand management, media coaching, and content creation.
