Yetta Gibson's Biography

What’s the point of a reporter or a story, that’s forgettable? That is the question that keeps Yetta Gibson on her toes every time she’s in front of the camera.

This Emmy Award winning Journalist has reported news and entertainment for NBC, CBS, & FOX. She is a native of HOTLANTA, a graduate of D.M. Therrell High School and Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Yetta’s career started back in 1994, as a college intern for one of Atlanta’s hottest radio stations, V103-FM. There, Yetta learned what it takes to be professional and successful in the broadcast industry.

For several years, she made her rounds in the broadcasting arena, choosing to gain knowledge, instead of a paycheck! Finally, a big break as a morning news reporter inside the CNN Center!!!

Yetta’s voice was heard by millions of listeners on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show. For years she‘d report the news through the airwaves of KISS 104.7FM, another one of Atlanta‘s top radio stations.

Yetta used working in the CNN Center to her advantage, asking a CNN photographer to shoot a demo tape that she could send to television stations. He agreed, not only to shoot it, but also to coach her through it. After a few takes--well, a lot of takes, the key to her career was born!

She has since landed television jobs in Albany, Georgia, Las Vegas, Phoenix and the quality of her work has led to national exposure. Yetta, was featured on E! True Hollywood Story: The Curse of the Little Rascals, for her knowledge on the murder of Jay R. Smith, one of the original Little Rascals.

Yetta’s passion: telling great stories and making what she calls “that comfortable connection” with her viewers. Wherever her career takes her, she will always make it a point to leave you wanting more…and forget her, you will not!
